Thanks Pauline - Basilicata has great vegetarian dishes. Greens like black cabbage, chicory and broccoli rape are used with pasta, on polenta and in thick soups. I had a great chick pea soup with chicory. Also, there are a wide variety of potato dishes.

Great article Ann - thanks! How is the food in Basilicata for vegetarians? In my experience, Tuscany is the best region for finding vegetarian pasta and side dishes, but I have not been south of the Amalfi area.
